"Reimagine 75: Fashion with a cause" Designer

WHO: Owner and founder, The True Trifecta. A multidisciplinary artist. Community social worker, mentoring young urban artists. A graduate of both the U. of Missouri - St. Louis and St. Louis U. She has worked for St. Louis Public Schools, New Sunny Mount Baptist Church, Link STL, Art Goes North, and The Delmar Loop. Community event organizer. Member of the board of directors for Shoe Fly and STL Links. Follow her at @true_trifecta.

STYLE: I do not have a traditional fashion or design education. My grandmother, Alice Grayer, was one of my best professors. I learned at a very early age how to thread a needle, use a sewing machine, crochet, and style an outfit. I would not trade what I received in love, passion, and generational gifts. A Black woman is the reason I am here today, and I am honored and humbled to have learned and been inspired by her.

INSPIRATIONS: No specific fashion inspirations. All forms of artistry inspire me.

CHANNELING: The foundation of fashion in the 70’s.
