"Reimagine 75: Fashion with a cause" Designer

WHO: I will be a senior at Lindenwood University, pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fashion design and technology, with graduation expected in 2023. Native of Sioux Falls, where I volunteered to teach kids how to illustrate and sew. I have worked several retail jobs, including bridal wear, evening wear, and women’s-ready-to-wear.

STYLE: I started sewing at 9 years old and have been sketching clothes since I could pick up a pencil.

INSPIRATIONS: One of my professors at Lindenwood, and my first sewing mentor. Fashion design takes a lot of patience. They taught me how to grow in this area from a young age. Since then, I have learned to grow from my weaknesses and push myself beyond my capabilities as a seamstress. I am thankful for all the wonderful mentors and professors God gave me to help shape me into the designer I am today.

CHANNELING: As a kid, I listened to a lot of musicians from the 1970s, thanks to my dad’s influence. The Eagles were one of my dad’s favorites, so I will be using them as inspiration.
