By providing programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army helps alleviate the symptoms of poverty - and works to address the root issues that cause it.
It is Mt. Clemens desire to service and empower our community that will improve lifestyles and encourage individual responsibility.
We help overcome poverty through our pathway of hope program within the social service department.
Pathway of Hope:
Our case worker supports families who are ready to work on goals through a personalized action plan, accountability, and celebration for goals met. The goals range from maintaining a personal budget to job readiness. Our social services department helps with resources such as job referrals or training; DTE or rent assistance if applicable.

Homeless Care Center:
Our Care Center is opened Monday-Friday from 8:00am-1:00pm year round where individuals can come in and rest, eat breakfast, and work with our case workers for basic needs. We are able to accommodate up to six people a day to shower during the mornings. Clothing items are given out on request. Contact 586-469-6712 for more information.
