The Salvation Army Mt. Clemens Corps has a long history of serving our community. In 1922, the Salvation Army opened its door of ministry in Mt. Clemens at 29 Fourth Street. We serviced the area at this location and 8 other locations in Mt. Clemens through 1946. Under the command of Envoy Thomas Carroll, a small brick building was built at 34 Grand Ave in 1959. This was to be the Salvation Army’s home until 1997 when our current building at 55 Church Street was purchased and remodeled. The Salvation Army Mt. Clemens Citadel continues to strive to meet the needs of our community, and we continue to seek new ways to improve our services by collaborating with area agencies to meet the unique needs of those we serve.
