Hope “Fore” Kids Golf Classic Online Auction Is Now Open!
Next Tuesday, September 3, is The Salvation Army’s 16th annual Hope “Fore” Kids Golf Classic at The Glen Club in Glenview. While this signature fundraising event is sold out, as it is every year, it’s not too late for you to participate!
The online auction affiliated with the golf outing offers everyone a chance to bid on great packages, like a behind-the-scenes tour of Wrigley Field, a night at Ravinia, a behind-the-scenes tour of NBC and other golf and sports packages. See the whole list of items and make your bid now.
All proceeds from the golf outing, including the online auction, will benefit The Salvation Army's youth programs, including camp, after-school programs and music education for disadvantaged children and teens in the Chicagoland area, as well as shelter for families in extreme crisis.
In 2018, The Salvation Army’s childcare program provided 12,788 care days to more than 335 children, gave more than 58,000 students musical instruction, and sent hundreds of children to our Wonderland Camp, including many kids who had never been outside their own neighborhood. (You can sponsor a child at camp too!)
The Salvation Army gives children throughout the Greater Chicagoland area a safe haven to complete homework, play sports, learn music, gain new skills and nurture their talents. The programs also provide mentorship. Many youth who participate in these programs may not otherwise have access to such opportunities.
