Schneider Logistics Grants $1,000 To Salvation Army

Feb 26, 2016

The Salvation Army would like to thank the generous team at Schneider Logistics in Elwood, Illinois, for granting The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division a $1,000 charitable contribution in February.

Schneider Logistics associate Ryan Hannapel recommended The Salvation Army because as a child between the ages of 10 – 14 years old, he had the opportunity to participate in the yearly bell ringer initiative that The Salvation Army sponsors during the holiday season. He is also impressed with the fact that they now give less fortunate individuals such as the homeless the opportunity to participate in that activity as well. He is grateful for all of the support they provide to the community.

Ilene Klein, Schneider NAI/E Training Manager, presented the donation to Leonard Johnson, Foundation Relations Director for The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division on behalf of Ryan Hannapel who was unable to attend the Charitable Donation Presentation Event. The Salvation Army's Joliet Corps Community Center offers youth and adult enrichment programs, a food pantry, music education, sports and recreation, and a range of social services for residents of Will County.

The generous team at Schneider in their Elwood import facility made additional contributions to six other community partners in 2016, making a difference in the local community through Schneider’s Charitable Giving Foundation.
