The Salvation Army Assists Residents in McHenry County Affected by Recent Flooding
(Crystal Lake, Ill.) – The Salvation Army, one of the largest direct providers of social services across Illinois, continues to partner with McHenry County officials and other disaster response agencies in reestablishing a one-stop, resource center for all those impacted by the recent flooding. This comprehensive center will be opened this Friday and Saturday.
Residents will be able to meet with trained counselors for resources, obtain housing and insurance information and other assistance from team representatives.
As a part of “MARC”, The Salvation Army will offer and receive in-kind donations. Translators will be available.
“This is a very hard time for many people as they deal with flood waters and the damage to their property,” said Major David Dalberg, Salvation Army Divisional Director of Emergency Disaster Services. “We want to make sure The Salvation Army is there not only to help with clean-up efforts, but also when the flood waters recede.”
