Help The Salvation Army create change and provide hope all year round.

It’s the kindhearted volunteers like you who help fulfill our promise to do the most good. Whether you have a specific talent to offer or simply an hour of your time, The Salvation Army is the place to turn your passion into action.

First, find an opportunity below that piques your interest. Then call Cathy Baugh or Diane Heath at 612-789-2858 or sign up online, when available. It’s that simple.

  • Work with youth in the after school program
  • Sort donations in our food shelf
  • Train to be an emergency disaster services volunteer
  • Help set up, plant and maintain a garden to create produce for our food shelf
  • Teach children in our after school program
  • Teach individuals about fitness and exercise goals, including how to correctly use work-out equipment
  • Be a spotter or guide to help young people on the climbing wall in the Adventure Zone
  • Supervise gym activities
  • Greet guests and answer the phone at our front desk
  • Provide janitorial services
  • Help with light maintenance
