It’s the kindhearted volunteers like you who help fulfill our promise to do the most good. Whether you have a specific talent to offer or simply an hour of your time, The Salvation Army is the place to turn your passion into action.

The Salvation Army feeds a nutritious hot lunch to an average of 150 people Monday through Friday. You will set up under the guidance of our cook, prepare foods, serve the meal, wash dishes, clean and reset the room, and experience fellowship with our visitors and guests. Sign up online.

When: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Where: Salvation Army lunchroom, 1019 Payne Ave., St. Paul

  • Work with youth in the after school program
  • Sort donations in our food shelf
  • Host a food drive
  • Teach music lessons
  • Help kids learn to read through Mission Literacy
