Here to Help: The Salvation Army is ready to serve you in MN, ND

Apr 27, 2021

The Salvation Army remains active as the pandemic and civil unrest continue to affect our communities.

Our focus is on three areas of need: food, shelter and care.

Food: If you need food, contact your local Salvation Army to find out where and how to receive a free box of groceries. During the past year, The Salvation Army Northern Division has distributed about 5 million meals – and we are prepared to serve many more.

Shelter: Our shelter facilities are a safety net for those with no place left to turn, while our rent assistance programs can help you stay in your home, as resources allow. Through the support of our donors and partner agencies, The Salvation Army has been able to save 250 percent more families from becoming homeless in the Twin Cities – from 454 households in 2019 to 1,154 households in 2020.

Care: The pandemic and civil unrest have been difficult on everyone. If you need prayer, a listening ear, or other emotional support, please call or stop by one of our service centers. Our officers, staff and volunteers are ready to serve you in any way they can.

The lists below include detailed information about our service centers in the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota and North Dakota. In most cases, our food shelf and social services programs are offered only by appointment during specific times on specific days. So please remember to call first.

If you need help and your community is not listed below, please contact one of our field representatives in Northern Minnesota, Central Minnesota, Southeast Minnesota, Southwest Minnesota, Eastern North Dakota, and Western North Dakota.
