HELP US DO THE MOST GOOD IN NORTHWEST INDIANA

HELP US DO THE MOST GOOD IN NORTHWEST INDIANA

With more people facing hardships this year, the need to serve those most vulnerable is greater than ever

The Salvation Army is on the frontline of the war against poverty every day. It is donors, volunteers, board members and partners, who make the work possible. You are the people who bring hope to every meal served, every coat given, and every prayer offered.

Donate Money

Your donations stay in the community in which they are received to help us serve those most in need.

How We Use Your Gifts

We want you to feel confident that we are making the best use of the resources you've given to The Salvation Army.
We pride ourselves on minimizing costs to maintain a high-percentage of donations that directly flow into programs - 83 cents per dollar. When you designate your donation to a disaster through The Salvation Army, 100% of your gift will be used in support of those disaster relief efforts.

We hope that our actions speak even louder than these words: every gift is precious to us.

"Where Does My Donation Go?"

Donations that are sent through our online portal, will be donated to our Indiana Headquarters in Indianapolis. Your donation is processed and distributed based on the zip code that was provided on your donation.

Don't worry your donation will make it safely!

Major Gifts

Every gift counts at The Salvation Army. Whether it’s a handful of coins in the red kettle at Christmas, or a major gift that funds an annual program, every single penny helps others. Individuals, foundations or corporations who are able to make large cash donations are encouraged to contact one of our directors of donor relations to discuss their gift in advance.

Gifts In Honor of Memory

Instead of presents or flowers this year, honor someone special with a donation to The Salvation Army.  Honor clients, loved ones or anyone special with a donation to The Salvation Army.  Recognize birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, retirement, achievements or any special occasion.  We will send a card with a meaningful message to the honoree.

Make Your Giving Grow

Gifts with a lasting impact for your neighbors in need.

The most popular question we hear is, "can I designate my gift to benefit my community?" YES! Legacy gifts can benefit a specific community, need, or have permanent benefits.  Our gift planning team can help you create your legacy and achieve your goals.

The Salvation Army offers numerous options to honor your charitable giving goals.  We already have several options available where your gift can be pooled with others to make your giving grow.

Give to a Need

William Booth Society

The William Booth Society, The Salvation Army’s most prestigious donor organization, is named for the founder of The Salvation Army who began helping the destitute in London in 1865. The Salvation Army Indiana Division has established The William Booth Society (WBS) to recognize and honor donors who make an annual gift of $5,000 or more to support Army programs and services.

The Salvation Army’s Bed & Bread Club is made up of people like you who have decided to take the matter of hunger and homelessness in their community into their own hands.  That’s why there are more than 100 Bed & Bread Clubs located all over the country — all with the same mission: to provide food and shelter to the hungry and homeless. The Clubs help The Salvation Army provide nutritious meals through their feeding programs . . . groceries from their food pantries . . . or vouchers to local supermarkets. And much more to learn about!
