Happening Tomorrow: Help Kids Kick Off the School Year Right!

Aug 3, 2021

The annual Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Back to School Backpack Program Live Event is growing this year! Happening TOMORROW, Wednesday, August 4, KETV is extending the live event to run all day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. as its 2021 Giving Wednesday initiative.

Stop by Methodist Women’s Hospital at 192nd and Dodge to drop off donations of new backpacks and school supplies, which will then be distributed to kids in need around the metro before the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Or, if you don’t have time to shop, donate online at salarmybacktoschool.org.

Special interviews with community leaders and representatives from Methodist Women’s Hospital, Metro Credit Union and other Backpack Drive partners will take place live on site at Methodist Women’s Hospital and will be broadcast throughout KETV’s morning, daytime and evening programs.

Since 1998, more than 200,000 children have received the tools they needed to start the school year off right. This year will be no exception, thanks to KETV and The Salvation Army’s many community partners.

Once you’ve made your donation, don’t forget to tune into KETV Channel 7, the KETV app or KETV.com for continuing coverage of The Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Back to School Backpack Program Live Giving Wednesday Event!

Thanks for your support!
