Help The Salvation Army of Omaha Make December 3 the Best Kettle Day Ever!

Nov 29, 2021

The Salvation Army, NP Dodge Company, FNBO and a generous anonymous donor are joining forces to make Friday, Dec. 3, the Best Kettle Day Ever – and we need your help! Stop by the parking lot of NP Dodge headquarters at 8701 W. Dodge Rd. on Dec. 3 to make a donation to The Salvation Army’s special red kettle, which is serving as “Kettle Central” from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- or make a donation to any of the metro-area red kettles between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

NP Dodge, FNBO and an anonymous donor are providing $50,000 in donation-match money, which will be applied on Dec. 3 to all 130-plus Salvation Army red kettles throughout the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area (including Fremont). Anyone making a donation at any of those kettles between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 3 will double their donation, thanks to the match. Online donations made on Dec. 3 via OmahaRedKettle.org will also be included in the match.

The goal of the Best Kettle Day Ever event is to break the one-day record of $71,000 for metro-area kettle donations by reaching a total goal of $100,000 (including the match money) in donations on Dec. 3.

KETV plans to cover the event live at NP Dodge headquarters at various points during the day.

Donations raised by the Best Kettle Day Ever will support metro-area Salvation Army programs, including food services, material assistance and youth development.

Online donations can be made here – and remember, your donation will be matched if you make your contribution on Dec. 3!
