Mandisa’s Girls Night Live Concert in Bellevue on November 1 To Benefit Flood Survivors
“Salvation gives us assurance of eternity in heaven, but that doesn’t mean the journey here on earth won’t be riddled with heartbreak, confusion, questions and pain,” says Grammy-award-winning Christian singer Mandisa. “Being a believer doesn’t exempt anyone from hardship, but trusting God does help us navigate life’s tragedies and challenges.”
Mandisa has a heart for helping people who are struggling, which is why she and Christian concert promoter Awakening Events are partnering with The Salvation Army, Altrua HealthShare and KLOVE Radio to present Mandisa’s Girls Night Live, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at Bellevue Christian Center to benefit local Nebraskans impacted by the spring flooding. More than 150 homes in the Bellevue area were damaged beyond repair in March. Awakening Events has designated a $1000 gift to The Salvation Army to provide winter outerwear and Christmas decorations to individuals and families whose homes and possessions were destroyed in the flooding earlier this year.
Contemporary Christian pop stars Blanca and Riley Clemmons will join Mandisa to present an evening of music, humor, worship and prayer aimed at strengthening women in the community.
When she began to record her latest album, Mandisa admits she was in a dark place as she grieved the loss of a dear friend to cancer. “God pulled me out of the dark,” she says. “I hope that in the same way God is restoring me, He will restore those who listen to my music.”
