The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of July 11

Have you ever noticed that these words are spoken in the present tense? God’s promise is not that He will move in our lives someday. His promise is that He is always working for our good right now, in every given moment. Yet sometimes – often – we miss God’s presence in our everyday lives. Blinded by our busyness, our to-do lists and our own goals and ambitions, we miss the presence of our Creator as He moves throughout our minutes and our days. This week, let us open our eyes, ears and hearts so that we don’t miss a single one of the many, many gifts God has for us. Amen.
