Golf Outing Sponsorship Shoutout: Food Sponsors
The Birdies for Good Golf Outing has raised more than $122,000 during its first two years to benefit those who need help in our community. Through this generous support, The Salvation Army was able to provide...
- 1,000 families with enough food to feed them for a week through our Food Pantry
- 1,000 men with lodging, meals and case management to help them take the next step forward in their lives through our Safety Net Program at the Sylvia Fites Center.
We would like to recognize those businesses and individuals who are making this year's Birdies for Good event possible. Without their generosity, The Salvation Army would not be able to impact so many people’s lives when they need food, shelter or guidance.
While COVID-19 precautions will cause the golf outing to look different than in years prior, we aim to make the same afternoon of fun & fellowship available in every way possible. One of the ways we are able to do this is by providing a lunch to all attendees as well as food after the event. This is all made possible by our Food Sponsors, F. Lynn & Susan McPheeters (post event food) / Lois Boaz (lunch). The Salvation Army thanks them for their support which helps make this year's Birdies For Good as impactful as possible.
By helping to cater the day's food these sponsors are helping to restore some form of normality during a time of "new normal". We believe that a simple meal is always this powerful and it is why our food services here in Peoria are so important to our mission. Feeding the hungry can restore their Hope & sustain their humanity. The Birdies For Good event directly benefits this part of our local mission & we hope that our Food sponsors' generosity help demonstrate this to our event supporters!
