Support Our Fundraisers

The Women’s Auxiliary organizes two fundraising efforts throughout the year:

  •  Annual Fall Fundraiser - Hope Has An Army event
  •  Annual Spring Fundraiser - Garage Sale at the Peoria Citadel

The proceeds from these two events goes toward the Tree of Lights Campaign, scholarships of women’s ministry camps, and various Salvation Army programs and facilities. All funds raised by the Women’s Auxiliary stay local to benefit those in need in the Tri-County region

One of the largest efforts that The Women's Auxiliary fundraising supports, is the Peoria Tree of Lights Campaign.

In the past twelve years alone, we have been able to raise and donate over $1,028,200 to this annual Holiday campaign. These funds stay local and directly impact families in need throughout the Tri-County area.

The Women's Auxiliary members are not only organizing fundraisers throughout the year, but also actively volunteering in The Salvation Army's services & programs.

We help throughout Christmas time by setting up a 3 day Toy Shop for local families to utilize, and also by volunteering at the annual Red Stocking Party.

Members also help year-round through efforts such as serving lunch at the Sylvia Fites Center or helping to plant flowers at Camp Eagle Crest.

The Women's Auxiliary hosts 2 major fundraising efforts each year. One of these is the annual Hope Has An Army event.

This event is full of moments like the Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise, silent auction, guest speakers and informative updates on The Salvation Army's local impact.  Altogether, this program makes up one half of our fundraising support. It is a major event that brings people together who believe in The Salvation Army's mission!

Annually, the Hope Has An Army fundraising event aims to raise $50,000. This goal is met and exceeded thanks to the generosity of local supporters, sponsors and the many who strongly support our Women's Auxiliary mission to empower The Salvation Army's work.

Our Women's Auxiliary members are hands-on and involved with carrying out The Salvation Army's programs, services or events. Volunteering is an important part of our mission and every year we serve those in need, in any way that we can.
