We fight poverty with love

By providing programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army helps alleviate the symptoms of poverty - and works to address the root issues that cause it.

How we help overcome poverty

PATHWAY OF HOPE

The Salvation Army's Pathway of Hope initiative provides individualized services to families with children who desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. Our case workers support families who are ready to work on goals through a personalized action plan, accountability, and celebrations for goals met. This innovative program seeks to address the root causes of poverty. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment, unstable housing, and lack of education, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability, hope, and self-sufficiency.

FOOD PANTRY

Our food pantry provides food and basic hygiene items for those in need. Members of the community may apply for this assistance up to 4 times per year. Appointments are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

We assist individuals and families with making utility back payments and enrolling in money saving energy payment plans. We also offer a variety of services for those who have faced fires. We are fortunate to have a Caseworker and an Energy Assistance Specialist to help meet these needs.
