Feed The Need 2024: Community Unites to Combat Hunger
On November 22-24, the Winnebago County community joined forces for a cause that truly embodies the spirit of the season. Mid-West Family stations broadcast live from Valli Produce for their annual Feed The Need Food Drive. Proudly sponsored by Anderson Toyota, organizations, businesses, and neighbors united to tackle food insecurity head-on.
Shoppers at Valli Produce had the opportunity to purchase pre-packaged bags of food designed to meet the critical needs of local families.
Across Winnebago County, sponsoring organizations extended the effort by hosting food barrels at their locations. The result? A staggering 47 barrels of food were collected for The Salvation Army Food Pantry.
In a time when food insecurity continues to challenge many households, each donated item carries the power to make an immediate difference. These donations represent more than meals for the 430+ families that the pantry serves each month. They signify hope, stability, and the kindness of their neighbors.
To every individual, family, and organization that took part—thank you. The spirit of giving is alive and thriving in the Rockford community.
