New Playground at Shirley’s Place

June 6th marked the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the playground at Shirley’s Place made possible by a generous grant from Club Blue and constructed by Kids Around The World and many community volunteers.

Shirley’s Place houses The Salvation Army’s Women’s Restorative Justice Program, a residential program providing supportive services for women in recovery from alcohol and drugs who have a recent criminal history in Winnebago County.

This playground will provide the residents children a place to play in a safe environment.
