Salvation Army Continues Relief Efforts in the Carolinas

More than 1.100 Salvation Army officers, staff and volunteers are working in the Carolinas to care for those impacted by Hurricane Florence.

In response, the Army has provided:

  • 125,500 meals
  • 108,000 drinks
  • 51,000 snacks
  • 600 food boxes
  • 396 comfort kits
  • Emotional and spiritual care for 9,100 individuals
  • 36,700 hours of service

The impacts from Florence continue to unfold across the Carolinas as catastrophic river flooding remains the concern. Some rivers are expected to remain in major flood stage into next week.

The Salvation Army is serving in the following areas:

  • Fayetteville, NC
  • Greenville, NC
  • Goldsboro, NC
  • Kinston, NC
  • Jacksonville, NC
  • Morehead City, NC
  • New Bern, NC
  • Wilmington, NC
  • Conway, SC
  • Florence, SC
  • Georgetown, SC
  • Horry County, SC
