The Salvation Army works through our Winnebago Social Services Center to lift up our struggling neighbors.

The following services are available at The Salvation Army Social Services Center at 520 Hollister Avenue in Rockford, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please call 815.972.1135 to make an appointment.

Homelessness Prevention & Emergency Assistance Programs

The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance to help with rent, NICOR Share, utility bills, and other needs to keep families safely in their homes. For more information, please call 815.972.1135.

Pathway of Hope

A supportive program for families with at least one child under the age of 18 who are ready to take action to improve their future. Community services combined with a network of support to build a strong and self-reliant family. There’s never been a better day to take the first step. A healthier future is possible!

Food Pantry

The Salvation Army Food Pantry provides a “choice-shopping experience” with shelf-stable pantry items, breads, cereals, meat, produce and sometimes household supplies. The pantry is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. To reserve a shopping appointment, please call 815.972.1135

Making Christmas Bright with Holiday Meals and Angel Tree Christmas Program

The holidays are tough for families who can't afford a meal or gifts during Christmas. With the help of donors, The Salvation Army provides Christmas food baskets and gifts for children in need.
