Partners in Doing the Most Good

The Salvation Army has changed lives and given hope to countless people throughout the nation. But it never does it alone.

There is no way that we could do all that we do without our many dedicated volunteers. Whether you have 1 hour or 100 hours to give, we would love to have you as part of our team. We can do the most good working together. 

If interested in volunteering at the Terre Haute Salvation Army you will need to fill out an application at the Link Provided. 

LINK - BETTER IMPACT

Regarding some volunteer opportunities, there may be more procedures; such as if an event requires adults to work with Children. Volunteers would have to complete a Better Impact Application, and then complete Safe From Harm Training. Also, if you would just like to have basic volunteer training, you can visit the Safe From Harm Link. This training can be done online in the comfort of your home. If you are interested in Driving a Salvation Army vehicle, please contact us and we will send you the appropriate paperwork.

SAFE FROM HARM Training

The type of volunteer services we have:

  • Emergency Disaster Driver - open
  • Back to School Giveaway - Register clients, count and keep inventory, make-up and giveaway items - open
  • Building Maintenance/light Janitorial duties - open
  • Pantry Day Volunteer – Thursdays 1-2pm
  • Food Drive Giveaway Volunteer – 2nd Tuesday of each month
  • Call Center Assistant – 9am-12pm - open
  • Red Kettle Campaign Helper – Holiday Season.
  • Men’s Bible Study Participant /Tuesday 6pm-7:30pm - open
