It is remarkable the good that just one volunteer can do for a person, a family, or even a whole community. The rewards of volunteering are immense for all involved. Your donation of time, talents and hard work given with love can produce amazing results. Because of your gift of volunteerism, we are able to direct the vast majority of our funds into direct aid and programs for those most in need in the Cedar Valley. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. All are vital to the fulfillment of The Salvation Army's mission in the Cedar Valley.
The Salvation Army offers ongoing volunteering for individuals as well as opportunities for group projects. Independent volunteering is a great way to meet new people while helping others, and group projects serve as wonderful team-building activities for established groups or clubs. Our partners are corporate, church, civic and community groups who support The Salvation Army of Waterloo/Cedar Falls. They are allies in our fight against poverty, hunger, homelessness and addiction, and our efforts to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster situations.
