WHAT IS WEST MICHIGAN HARBOR LIGHT?
Addicts often reach a moment in which a critical decision must be made.
This is the crossroads many of our clients reach when they contact West Michigan Harbor Light (WMHL).
The program began in 1973 as a refuge for West Michigan residents desiring to overcome active addictions.
"The Salvation Army Turning Point Program was there for me when I decided to get help for my addiction issues in 2007... Their door was always open for me. When I returned broken and beaten, I was never shunned. I was never judged. I was never made to feel unworthy. I was celebrated and told, "never quit quitting." ... I am so grateful that Turning Point never shut their doors on me. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Our first priority is to provide a warm, welcoming environment that promotes safety and healing. Our goal is to empower people to overcome addictions and reconnect with life.
West Michigan Harbor Light Programs employ Board Certified physicians specializing in addiction medicine, Master prepared therapists, Licensed nurses. All staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about helping those with addictions.
