Who we Are
The Salvation Army of Whitley County strives to serve the individuals in our community with the love of Christ. Meeting practical needs of families, men and women, while also giving prayer, accountability, friendship and guidance. We treat the people who come through our door with needs, without discrimination or judgement.
Our Local Leadership
Christine Scroggs, Community Ministries Specialist of The Salvation Army of Whitley County.
Christine Scroggs directs the Whitley County Salvation Army. She oversees all programs and outreach for 33,000 people in Columbia City, Churubusco, South Whitley and the smaller towns in our community. Christine brings years of experience as a Pastor's Wife, Youth Leader, and Children's minister. She and her husband of 20 years have four grown children, and three grandchildren. They have lived in Whitley County their entire marriage, and love serving their friends and neighbors. Christine holds a degree in Business Administration, and is also a lived Therapy Dog Handler, with her pup, Kona.
