Warm Hearts Coat Distribution and Christmas Assistance Begins

WICHITA, KS (October 13, 2023) –  The Salvation Army South Central Area Command will open the opportunity to apply for Christmas Assistance and begin the distribution of winter clothing to our community. Warm Hearts Distribution of coats and winter wear will be offered from October 16th – October 20th & October 23rd – October 27th, at all Salvation Army locations including:

  • Downtown Koch Center, 350 N Market St. Downtown Wichita – 9:30am to 3pm
  • Citadel Corps Community Center, 1739 S. Elpyco – 9:30am to 3pm
  • West Orchard Community Center, 1910 S Everett – 9:30am to 3pm

The Salvation Army is also partnering with the City of Wichita Park and Rec. Department to offer coats at the following facilities:

  • Boston | 6655 E Zimmerly
  • Brewer | 1329 E 16th St
  • Colvin | 2820 S Roosevelt
  • Edgemoor | 5815 E 9th St
  • Evergreen |2700 N Woodland Linwood | 1901 S Kansas
  • Linwood | 1901 S Kansas
  • Orchard | 4808 W 9th St Woodard | 2750 E 18th St
  • Woodard | 2750 E 18th St

Items available will include coats, sweaters and blankets. While supplies last, quantities are limited to items available, and limits may apply. Families are asked to provide ID’s for everyone in their household. This distribution is for Sedgwick County households only.
