“Hungry” is no way to spend childhood.

Wherever there is hunger, you'll find The Salvation Army feeding people and meeting needs

Food is not only necessary for survival but can help people be successful in other things.

Donate Now

Each night in the U.S., 17.4 million families go to bed hungry.

An additional 6.9 million families experience very low food security. That means they don't always know where their next meal is coming from.

Each year, we provide over 56 million meals through:

Food Pantries

Food pantries are designed to help supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost.

Depending on the community and in partnership with food banks and community volunteers, those in need and eligible will either receive prepacked amounts of food or be able to shop for themselves in client-choice pantry locations.

Feeding Programs

The Salvation Army provides regular nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of all adults in need at sites throughout the division.

Meals are provided at no cost and on a fixed schedule based on the community.

Feed The Kids

Feed The Kids is a summer meals program for children living in a specific city's poorest neighborhoods.
