The Salvation Army Youth Programs build spirit, character, mind, and body.

How we help empower youth

At The Anderson Corp Community Center we focus on 4 key programs to empower the youth in our community:  Christian Education, W.O.W., VBS, Summer Camps, and Christian Education.

Christian Education

On Sunday we traditionally take the time to worship God. We also have a time to explore the Bible and enjoy showing children what God has to to say to them about love and life and applying to their lives.  We think they'll really enjoy the adventure through our ORANGE curriculum using a combination of media, games, worship and scripture to teach religious concepts.

Wild on Wednesday

From September through May 4 year old's through 18 may come and enjoy a few hours of food, fun and fellowship at our facility. Beginning at 5 p.m. we focus  on their spiritual natures while familiarizing them with The Salvation Army and what we are all about through Junior Soldiers (1st-7th grades) and Corps Cadets (8th-12th). Youth are then served up a nice nutritious meal before heading of to build up their characters and earn badges through a variety exciting opportunities and new adventures. For our youngest, we have Moonbeams, who are not to be left out of the badge earning adventure. For the 1st-6th grade girls their is Sunbeams, 8th-12th grade young ladies have Girl Guards, Young men are in Adventure Corps divided between Explorers (1st-5th) and Rangers (6th-12th). .
