Who we Are
The Salvation Army has been proclaiming the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ to the individual communities that make up The Downriver Area for over 125 years. We are a family church that loves God, loves others, & serves others!
Our Local Leadership
Lieutenants Audrey and Shawn Sutter, Sr. are the Officers of The Salvation Army Downriver Corps Community Center. Audrey grew up in The Salvation Army and met Shawn while they were in North Dakota. Later in their marriage, God called Shawn to serve others in The Salvation Army, while Audrey felt called as a teenager, the calling was magnified. They went to the College For Officer Training out of Topeka, KS. They have 4 wonderful children who have grown up in The Salvation Army. They are Lexie, Gabi, Junie, Aidan.
