The Pathway of Hope delivers access to Fond du Lac County's most thorough answer to long- and short-term need, with licensed social workers, substance abuse counselors and an ad board of subject matter professional experts adding support. This is a "big picture" perspective, a circle of supportive service we have been growing since 1890. It now includes the county’s first Housing Retention Program, an addiction treatment recovery opportunity and a RENEWED Pathway of Hope. Added together with the food pantry, thrift store, ministry, and seasonal programs, this now, is FDL County’s full circle of opportunity which fuels an endgame to homelessness & powers a path to recovery. Being a part of this circle in any way creates an impact exponentially more profound and beneficial to participants than any other The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac has offered before and, arguably, that the county has ever seen before.

Amber Arntz, Caseworker at The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac, remembers her first meeting with Kyle and Liv in April. “They were looking to get a fresh start on life, on the right foot."
Dorya and her four children were homeless when they came to The Salvation Army on referral from a school principal. Amber Arntz, a Caseworker at The Salvation Army met Dorya and was struck with her determination and desire to work hard, two key components to successful POH candidates. Amber provided an overview of the program and invited Dorya to a second meeting. When Dorya kept the next appointment, she demonstrated her willingness to do whatever was needed to create better circumstances for her family.
