Partners in Doing the Most Good

The Salvation Army has changed lives and given hope to countless people throughout the nation. But it never does it alone.

Your help matters.  Every day, we provide compassionate support, a listening ear and practical help to people in our community who are vulnerable or in need. Volunteers are the ‘army’ of compassion that makes our work possible.

Every time you volunteer with us, whether it’s seasonal, once a week, every day or anything in between; the valuable life skills and experience you share makes Fond du Lac a better place.

Year round, we have opportunities for volunteers to:

  • Register clients, guide them through our food pantry and keep the shelves stocked
  • Greet clients and guests, accept donations, field phone calls and help in our administration offices
  • Welcome shoppers and donors, price items and stock shelves in our thrift store
  • Add ideas and help plan programs and events that make a difference in Fond du Lac and the county we serve

  • Help with Brown Bag Lunch,  Fond du Lac’s largest summer free cold lunch program (17,000+ lunches each summer!)
  • Collect lists of individual and family coat and Christmas needs
  • Help adults and children choose warm coats.
  • Help families recieve Christmas toys, food and gifts
  • Help us shelter the homeless in our warming shelter
  • Ring bells alongside our iconic Red Kettles

You can volunteer to host fundraisers and collections to help also!  Contact us for more info. Read about Caleb, the 7 year-old who created two collections for us.
