We help alleviate the symptoms of poverty and
work to address the root issues that cause it.
Approximately 18 percent of residents in Fort Dodge live below the federal poverty level.
This is significantly higher than the 12 percent of Americans living below the poverty level overall across the country. The fact is, poverty is a part of our community, even if we don't always see it.

Social Services
We provide prescription assistance, gas vouchers and other forms of help to those who qualify.
Food Programs
Hunger and food insecurity go hand-in-hand with poverty. We offer a number of short-term solutions to help people make ends meet when times are tough, including a daily community lunch program, food distribution with Feeding America, a food pantry and a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in need. Learn how we help cure hunger.
