Providing physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance,
to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions.
Seasonal Assistance programs exist due to the generosity of the Greater Green Bay community. It is through donations from individuals, churches, businesses and foundations that we are able to offer this assistance to individuals and families in need. The Salvation Army is deeply thankful for the many partners who help us make these programs possible and to the many volunteers who assist us in the registration and distributions for these programs.
Families can sign up for Christmas Assistance in late fall. Each child will be eligible for a book, 1 or 2 toys, stocking stuffers, a family game and the family will be eligible for a food basket. Information on when to sign up and what documents to bring to the sign up is available beginning in September by calling (920) 497-7053 and requesting the holiday assistance information line.
Seniors and individuals without children are eligible for food baskets for Christmas. The food baskets usually contain meat, pasta or potatoes, bread/rolls, canned goods and milk to make a holiday meal. Information on when to sign up and what documents to bring to the sign up is available beginning in September by calling (920) 497-7053 and requesting the holiday assistance information line.
Adopt-a-Family A diverse collection of local corporations and Green Bay area families choose to anonymously adopt families in need during the holidays. The Salvation Army collaborates with over 10 agencies who refer the families who will benefit from the Adopt-A-Family Program. The Salvation Army matches the adopter and the adoptee and distributes the complete Christmas Package before Christmas. If you are interested in becoming an Adopt-a-Family Donor, please call 920-593-2369 and provide all of the information requested on the message and a Christmas volunteer will call you back.
Seniors and disabled adults who are alone at Christmas or who may not receive gifts are referred to The Salvation Army by local agencies. The Salvation Army works with several local businesses and Bay Park Square Mall to provide Silver Bell Trees. The bells are selected by a donor who purchases the gifts. The referring agencies and The Salvation Army wrap the gifts and deliver them to the individuals in time for Christmas.

Schreiber Foods sponsors the meal and provides volunteers to help serve the meal to our older adults of Greater Green Bay.
