Seeing Success & Change: Decatur

Apr 29, 2019

Sundays hold beautiful moments of worship service at all Salvation Army locations, but what is just as common as prayer or singing? Coffee! After a service, our halls are filled with conversation accompanied by a warm cup of coffee in hand. Most days of the week we will mimic this ritual, and greet the day with a coffee from our kitchen, office or even local shops. Our family and friends at The Salvation Army of Decatur & Macon County found a creative way to connect themselves to this wide love of coffee. By partnering with local Marquis Beverage, they have created The Red Kettle Blend.

Fighting For Good, By Filling Your Cup

We always want to offer fresh, interesting ways for those in our communities to Do The Most Good alongside us. This leads us to many new local partners that help The Salvation Army evolve and redefine the ways you can show your support. This is exactly what Marquis Beverage has done for us in Decatur. Creating a blend of coffee that is uniquely flavored and sold for The Salvation Army has broadened the ways you can assist our mission. You can start your day with a flavorful new cup of coffee and know that you are helping impact the lives of those in need around your community. We can’t think of a more exciting and easy way to show love and support for your Salvation Army!

It inspires us across the Heartland Division too. As we constantly challenge ourselves to creatively provide new ways for our communities to engage with our work and service, seeing success like this is a blessing. An idea that starts from a local level and captures the potential to affect more communities in the future, shows what The Salvation Army truly stands for: making the most good out of all our support. Our Red Kettle Blend is the perfect example of how an idea can leave real change for all in need in the Heartland Division, with your help.

You can purchase a cup wherever it is sold or purchase a bag yourself to enjoy at home with your family and friends. If you want to see Red Kettle Blend in your favorite coffee shop let them know and reach out to us and help spread the taste of Doing The Most Good!
