We want to feed people spiritually and physically. The generosity of the people of Kankakee County make it possible for us to offer food all year round to anyone in need of a hot meal or some groceries. Come to The Salvation Army to fill your belly and fill your soul.
How we help cure hunger
We offer a variety of options to feed individuals and families in need. There is no reason anyone in Kankakee County should be going hungry. If you or someone you know is in need of food, send them to The Salvation Army.
To-Go Lunches
Monday - Saturday 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, our incredible cook and supportive volunteers have prepared free lunches for anyone to take to-go. Everyone is welcome. Best of all, it is absolutely FREE!
Food Pantry
We offer a choice pantry where you may walk through and pick what you like, or prepackaged food boxes if you prefer to grab n' go. Both are offered on Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm. This is available to individuals who reside in Kankakee County every 30 days.
