The Salvation Army's annual summer camp programs and after school programs are so important. Every year, thousands of kids get a fresh perspective on life as they meet new friends, discover new activities, and get a taste of the great outdoors. As campers play sports, learn life skills, create music, and make art, their trained counselors help them navigate the complicated emotions and struggles often associated with their lives back home.
Camp Dream to Achieve is located in Kankakee, IL (an hour south of Chicago and about 2 hours from Peoria) and is for youth ages 9-17. Camp is a fun filled 9 weeks of activities, art, crafts, games, sports, music, cooking, life skills and so much more. Additionally, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included at no additional charge. Weekly away field trips or at home special events are exciting opportunities for youth to experience new adventures. Learn more about our annual summer camp!
