The Salvation Army of Manitowoc is committed to providing a wonderful Christmas for all in our community. Every child deserves a warm coat and to experience the joy of Christmas morning.

Coats For Kids Drop Off Locations

Children in Manitowoc County need your help this winter. Drop off a new/gently used coat at one of our local locations and make a difference in a child's life. The need is urgent-every coat matters.

Coats For Kids

Each winter, the Coats for Kids program of The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County provides more than 2,000 warm coats to local children in need. What began as a simple way to help our neighbors has grown into a vital Seasonal Assistance effort, sustained entirely by the generosity of our community. Individuals, churches, businesses, and local organizations all play a role in making sure children stay warm through the cold Wisconsin winters. We are truly grateful for the many partners who make this program a success, and for the dedicated volunteers who help with registration and distribution every year. Together, we’re keeping Manitowoc’s kids warm.

Registration / Sign-Up

This year The Salvation Army is migrating from in-person registration to an online registration for both our Coats for Kids and Toys for Tots programs. If you do not have access to signup online, please call 920-684-7117 or stop in @ the office (415 N. 6th St) to register.

Registration for Coats for Kids is now open

The Deadline for signup for Coats for Kids is Friday October 24th

For online registration, please complete all of the required information to the best of your ability. Please consider the following:
- Participants must live in Manitowoc County
- Only register children that live in your household
- Only register children that are 18 years old or younger

You will need the following documents:

- Identification for applicant and any other adults in household
- Proof of residency for every child (ex: BadgerCare or FoodShare Statement, School Records, etc)

For those looking to donate this year - our donation boxes will be out at local businesses: September 22nd - October 23rd

Coats For Kids Distribution

Coats for Kids distribution will take place at The Salvation Army Pantry (402 N. 9th St) on Saturday, November 1st from 9am - 5pm. Clients will sign-up for a time to come pick up their coats, more details to come soon!

Volunteer for Coats for Kids Distribution
