Our programs and Services

Adult Rehab Centers (ARC): The Salvation Army has, for individuals who have come to the place of desiring freedom from drug or alcohol issues, and adult rehab center in many different cities. An appt . to talk to a corps officer can be made by calling 920-684-7117 to discuss help with admission.

Celebrate Freedom: Prison aftercare support. This requires a referral from a parole officer (client on extended supervision). This group offers support & helps to individuals as they work to reclaim their lives after incarceration.  

Church: Every Sunday at 10 a.m.  Fellowship time at 9 a.m. Various weekday Bible studies. Call 920-684-7117 for additional information.

Coats for Kids: Sign up (intake) begins in mid-September and coat distribution is usually early to mid-October. 

Emergency Disaster Services (EDS): Assist local police and fire departments when called on locally and around the world.

Food Pantry: Open Tuesday and Wednesday 9 am-noon and 1-4 pm. at 402 N 9th St. Entrance off of Chicago St. Photo ID & proof of address if different than ID & who is in household. 

KAN Kool:  We partner with the local KAN Kool group that provides school supplies for eligible students. Referral required. It is hosted at Jefferson Elementary in August. 

Nursing Home Visits: near Thanksgiving/Christmas and, again, near Easter each year we visit local nursing homes, bring gifts & prayers. 

Revolution (youth activities): Meets Sept-early Nov & Jan-late April. 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Children in grades 1-12 can be picked up from school or brought to The Salvation Army (once registered) and learn a musical instrument, about Jesus and other practical/character-building activities.  

Social Services: Limited Goodwill vouchers. Gas cards for documented medical appointments. Call the office for an appointment (920) 684-7117.  NO rent or heat assistance.  

Summer Camps: Open to any youth in Manitowoc County. Sign up begins in April. A small registration fee/family is requested and paperwork needs to be filled out. 

The Light Teen Center: Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings to teens 6th-12th grades. The Light is a fun place to hang out & be cared about. 402 N 9th St. 

Toys for Tots: Same intake as for coats, but distribution is usually mid- December.
