Our goal is to help individuals and families get the food
they need to sustain healthy lives.
Seven out of 10 children in Marshalltown qualify for free and reduced lunches, an indication that many families in the area are struggling with poverty, food insecurity and hunger.
We help people of all ages get access to healthy food and find relief from hunger.
Hunger goes beyond statistics. While the devastating impact of hunger isn't always obvious, the truth is, real people in Marshalltown are struggling with hunger or food insecurity. We work to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community do not go hungry.
We welcome anyone in need who walks through our doors, including the homeless, people struggling to make ends meet and families who are trying to feed their growing children on a limited budget. We provide these services to help fight hunger in Marshalltown:
Sal's Cupboard | Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 11:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm and Friday 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
We offer a food pantry open to everyone in Marshall County to visit once every 30 days. Our pantry helps ensure that individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet get the food they need to survive and thrive. While planning your visit, please be sure to bring identification for yourself and everyone in your household as well as a piece of mail dated within the last 30 days.
