Emergency Lodge Children's Development Program

In 2020, the program served on average 22 children per month staying at The Emergency Lodge.

Homelessness is a devastating experience for children and their families. At the Emergency Lodge, families stay together, promoting a cohesive sense of family.

The Emergency Lodge's Children’s Education Center provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can participate in educational and recreational programming. 

In addition, professional staff works with families to provide targeted services. Those include:

  • Family Case Management
  • School Enrollment & Bus Transportation Assistance
  • Educational Assessments
  • Tutoring & Computer Lab
  • Clothing & School Supplies
  • Recreation & Family Activities
  • Birthday & Holiday Celebrations
  • Summer Camps
  • Parent Enrichment Classes
  • Children’s Bible Studies
