What is your story? How did you end up in Milwaukee?Marcy Stutzman

I moved here for a job with The Salvation Army.

What keeps you in Milwaukee/What do you like best about Milwaukee?

Milwaukee is a beautiful city in the summer...the lakefront, the festivals, the people, the energy.

Favorite spot in the city?

Harbor House

Milwaukee festival you are eager to attend each year?

The event I look forward to attending each summer is Echelon's Dinner in the Alley!

What drew you to Echelon?

I met with Meredith Counce from the first Echelon chapter in Dallas. We hoped to be able to replicate the group in Milwaukee. After meeting with Ian Abston and Matt Walker prior to the forming of Echelon, it was clear that this group needed to happen! Their energy and commitment to making Milwaukee a better city for EVERYONE was motivation for us to gather a group of the best and brightest young professionals and start the Echelon MKE chapter!

Share with us a memorable experience you have had thus far with the organization.

I have to say, the events where we get to have face to face experience helping the clients of The Salvation Army are the ones that touch my heart. For example, the Meaningful Makeover event makes me cry every time I think about the impact we had on people's lives.

What struggles do you see our city dealing with? What can our generation do to help?

Milwaukee needs to celebrate the beautiful diversity of the city. We need to work toward equality.
