What is your story? How did you end up in Milwaukee?

I was born and raised near Milwaukee in Hales Corners. I've tried a few times to leave for opportunities but the city has my heart.

What keeps you in Milwaukee/What do you like best about Milwaukee?

You can always find something to do that you've never done before. Someone is always telling me about this great new restaurant to try, or event to attend. I've watched Downtown Milwaukee change so much over the years and it's just a really exciting place to be these days.

Favorite spot in the city?

I love summers in the city and I would have to say Bradford Beach. You'd never think you were in Wisconsin when you stop there on a warm summer day. The volleyball, people and drinks are awesome!

Milwaukee festival you are eager to attend each year?

I LOVE Bastille Days. Best food, great location and local bands.

What drew you to Echelon?

I am always eager to be involved in different organizations. I've been in and out of a few. Truly, Echelon has made me feel like we have a real opportunity to make an impact. We talk and we act. To see that we are adding value and thinking about the long-term success of The Salvation Army and the city is what keeps me motivated!

Share with us a memorable experience you have had thus far with the organization.

I have loved ringing the bells at the Bucks game. I am super competitive and when our team was crushed last year, I was determined to win during the second year. Luckily, I was drafted to the A-Team and we took home the ‘ship! :) AND we raised a good amount of money.

What struggles do you see our city dealing with? What can our generation do to help?

I truly believe we have an opportunity to impact our youth and all our generation has to do is act. It's amazing how little time it takes to add value to an organization, a group, or just a person. I think if we can continue to inspire our generation that our lives aren’t about climbing a corporate ladder or making a ton of money, but about impacting others in a positive way every day, we can really start to drive change. It's up to us as leaders to create that vision. And this group of people is absolutely incredible and I believe they will.
