how did you first learn about the salvation army?

In 2015, there was a call to action from the Faith Leaders in the City of Milwaukee to partner with the Milwaukee Police Department to help our city and neighborhoods heal from the rising violence. The Salvation Army began to recruit for chaplains, and I was part of the first group trained for the new Salvation Army Chaplaincy Program.

What is your favorite part about working at the salvation army?

My favorite part about working at The Salvation Army is being able to represent Christ and bring the hope of Christ to the community. It is a joy to work with the staff and volunteers who believe and take seriously the example that Christ left us to serve.

What has been your favorite experience at the salvation army?

Being able to work with other community service agencies. The organizations coming together for the common cause of helping and providing support to hurting people. This was the people in the community can see that we are no divided, but we are unified to give the best of ourselves to those in need.

What is one thing you believe the world should know about tsa?

That we are an organization doing our best to give hope to everyone we can.

What are a few words you'd use to describe tsa?

Love In Action.
