Echelon MKE to Host 'Dinner in the Alley' to Aid Homeless Population
Tickets to summer’s most meaningful meal on sale today!

MILWAUKEE – Echelon Milwaukee is thrilled to bring back Dinner in the Alley (DIA) this summer! On Saturday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., enjoy the most meaningful meal you’ll have all summer in the Bucks Live Block near Fiserv Forum, while bringing awareness and support to Milwaukee’s homeless population.

The fifth annual DIA is hosted by The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County’s young professional group, Echelon MKE. With the purchase of a ticket, guests will enjoy an outdoor dinner, drinks, and entertainment beneath the twinkle lights of the new Bucks Live Block. Long community tables will allow for guests to build community and conversation aimed around how to fight the tragic homeless epidemic, not only in Milwaukee County but all over the world.

"Echelon Milwaukee has a vision to end homelessness," said Major Steve Merritt, the Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. "Therefore, 100 percent of the proceeds will support The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's homeless shelter, the Emergency Lodge."

Ticket prices include food from local food trucks: Meat on the Street, Paella Police, Hidden Kitchen and Fresh Fin Poke, along with beer and wine. Happy hour kicks off at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing. Guests must be 21+ to enter.

Dinner in the Alley would not be possible without sponsorship from Rebel Squid, Tuna Traffic, Houseworks Collective, MKE Brewing Co., Rockstar and Country Financial.
Tickets and information are available online: http://salar.my/DIA2019. Follow along on social media: #DinnerintheAlley #EchelonMKE

Nationally, approximately 84 cents of every dollar raised is used to support programs and services in nearly 9,000 communities nationwide.
