Our Response to the Coronavirus: Keeping Milwaukeeans Safe

The Salvation Army Milwaukee County remains committed to Doing The Most Good for our neighbors in need, especially now as we respond to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After taking into consideration all of the federal, state and local guidelines, our worship and community centers are making adjustments to their daily activities. See the list below for adjustments to programming. This page will be updated as changes are made.

All worship and community centers scheduled activities and worship services are LIMITED to follow CDC guidelines. See each Corps' activities and worship services below.

Officers will be on site and buildings will be OPEN for emergency assistance such as food pantries.

For your safety through social distancing, if you would like to help The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County we are asking that you give in two ways: 

  • Mail a check to The Salvation Army, 11315 W. Watertown Plank Rd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226 and in the memo write "CV19 Help MKE"
  • Donate online 
  • Text 'MKE' to 24365

NOTE: At this time, due to state guidelines, we are unable to accept collected food donations from the public.

Thrift Stores
All thrift stores are OPEN and following CDC guidelines:

  • Hours of Operation:
    • 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Observing social distancing which includes 6' markers on the floor of the stores
  • Face masks are required by all staff and encouraged for shoppers, masks available at the store
  • Hand sanitizer available 

Helping Hands for Healthcare Heroes
Our mobile feeding truck is delivering meals to hospitals in the Milwaukee area.

Milwaukee County Distribution Center

  • Food Pantry Hours:
    • Monday - Friday 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Milwaukee Citadel Corps

  • Food Pantry Hours:
    • Thursday: 10 a.m. – Noon
    • Friday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m
  • Sunday Worship Services
    • Sundays: 10:45 a.m. - Noon
    • Operating at 50% capacity, doors will lock after 11:15 a.m. or when we are at capacity
  • Youth programming and other programs are SUSPENDED until further notice

Milwaukee Cold Spring Corps

  • Food Pantry Hours:
    • Tuesdays: 9 a.m. - Noon
  • Emergency Assistance: By appointment only (please call 414-239-2004)
  • English Learning Classes (Mon. & Wed. 9:30 a.m. - Noon) SUSPENDED
  • School of Music (Wed. & Thurs. nights) SUSPENDED
  • Bible Studies & Worship Team practice (Thurs. nights) SUSPENDED

Milwaukee West Corps

  • Food Pantry Hours:
    • Tuesdays - Thursdays: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Sunday Worship Service is hosted on West Corps Facebook Group the Captains will re-evaluate in August if they will hold in person services
  • Bible Study has been SUSPENDED until further notice
  • Youth Basketball (Mondays) SUSPENDED

Oak Creek

  • Drive-Up Food Pantry Hours:
  • Summer Day Camp 2020
  • Sunday Worship Services
    • Sunday: 10:30 a.m. - Noon
  • Teen Bible Study
    • Wednesdays: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Sunday Night Ignite
    • Sundays: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Virtual Food Pantry Drive
