The Salvation Army, Milwaukee Brewers Team Up to Kickoff Feed The Kids Summer Meals Program 
In 2018, The Salvation Army served 54,359 meals through the program

WHO: The Salvation Army and the Milwaukee Brewers are teaming up to host the annual Feed The Kids Kickoff. 

WHAT: At the kickoff, volunteers will prepare 1,200 sack lunches for children living in Milwaukee’s underserved neighborhoods. Volunteers will include:

        -Milwaukee Brewers Front Office, including staff and Brewers Wives
        -Local Officials 
        -Members of The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's Advisory Board 
        -Members of The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's Echelon Chapter 

After the kickoff (June 17 to August 23), volunteers will prepare about 1,500 lunches per day. The lunches, which contain a sandwich, cheese stick, snack (every Friday) and 100% fruit juice will then be distributed to children in 21 different neighborhoods (3 routes) on Milwaukee's north and south sides. 

WHEN: Noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4

WHERE: The Tailgate Haus at Miller Park 

WHY: The Feed The Kids program has provided more than 2 million meals to hungry children in Milwaukee County since 1990. The Brewers have been longtime partners of the program.
