The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County to Co-Sponsor the 69th Annual Crime Prevention Awards

MILWAUKEE COUNTY —  The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is proud to co-sponsor the 69th Annual Crime Prevention Awards in Milwaukee.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Wisconsin Club. It will recognize residents and law enforcement professionals who, through their special contributions to crime prevention, have made the greater Milwaukee area a better place to live and work.

Major Tim Meyer, the divisional secretary for The Salvation Army in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, will provide the invocation. He will also present The Salvation Army Chaplaincy Program award for "Outstanding Individual Involved in Crime Prevention" to Michael Hupy of Hupy and Abraham, S.C., a longtime Milwaukee resident and businessman who has offered many rewards to help with the arrest and conviction of persons involved in violent crimes.

The Crime Prevention Awards are organized by LISC Milwaukee and Safe & Sound, two nonprofit organizations dedicated to safe and thriving neighborhoods in the Milwaukee area, in partnership with law enforcement agencies.
