The Salvation Army To Serve Hot Dogs on Feed the Kids Route Thursday
Feed The Kids summer meals program reaches 8th week
MILWAUKEE - The Salvation Army's Feed the Kids program has reached its 8th week. Traditionally, lunches are served from a large traveling van and include a sandwich, a cheese stick, and 100% fruit juice. This week, as a special treat, employees will distribute hot dogs to the kids on the route.

12:25 PM – 12:45 PM: Lapham Neighborhood Playground, 13th & Lapham
“The Feed The Kids program is a critical need in our community,” said Major Steve Woodard, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County. “There are hundreds of children who rely on free or reduced lunch during the school year, and when school ends, many go hungry without the help.”
The Feed The Kids summer meals program will run until Friday, August 26. So far, The Salvation Army has served more than 41,740 meals to children and adults this summer.
