The Salvation Army evaluates every local community and strives to meet the greatest need in each. With your help, we can turn underserved areas into thriving, flourishing communities. Whether it's providing shelter, feeding programs, domestic abuse programs, or addiction recovery: with your support, we will be there today, tomorrow, and until the healing is complete.
The Salvation Army is committed to providing the help that is needed those who need it most.
The Salvation Army stands ready to help individuals and families in every zip code in America. In the Chicagoland area, we’re here to help struggling families put healthy meals on the table, give kids healthy food when school is out, and make sure being homeless doesn't mean you're also hungry. Your support today provides a meal, hope and help to a family in your neighborhood.
The Salvation Army has food pantries in more than 25 locations throughout the Chicagoland area. Food boxes may include shelf-stable pantry items, breads, cereals, meat and other household necessities.
Bed & Bread Club
Many of The Salvation Army's services ensure families have nutritious food to eat and safe place to sleep. Once the basics are covered, we support families with after-school programming, creative arts education, worship opportunities, and more. Help keep these programs available to those most in need by joining the Bed & Bread Club.
Meals at Shelters, Facilities & Other Programs
The Salvation Army provides nutritious meals each day for families staying at our shelters, in residential programs, and children enrolled in the Head Start/Early Head Start and camp programs. Most after-school programs also provide a healthy snack.
